Stables were often caves with feeding troughs carved into rock walls. They were dark and dirty – not the kind of place where Jews expected to find the Messiah.

The inn and innkeeper

Nazareth

When Jesus began his ministry, people didn’t call him “Jesus of Bethlehem.” They called him “Jesus of Nazareth,” since that’s the town where he had lived.
